At
Northwest Golf
Tours, our approach to
lodging partners is the
same one we take with our golf course recommendations,
we're very selective. Rather than representing every hotel in Western Washington
and leaving you on your own to pick, we have the
advantage, as a local company, of getting to know each
hotel -- both the people and the facilities. The
result is that we represent a small list of both premium
and budget-priced hotels -- hotels that know us, our
clientele, and know that treating you right means many
more stays down the road. And we guarantee
you the best rate available for any night you stay with
one of our lodging partners.
While our list of hotel partners continues
to expand, we are focused on golf travellers who wish
to stay in the Tacoma (Chambers Bay) area, downtown
Seattle, or the Kitsap Peninsula. As
such, we partner with the only waterfront
hotels in Tacoma & the Kitsap
Peninsula. Our Tacoma partner is a nearly
new, three-story hotel perched atop
Commencement Bay (see above). It is a truly
unique experience. Rooms start as low as $159 per
night and come with continental breakfast,
high-speed Internet, and access to the Ruston Way Parkway -- a 3+ mile paved
hiking and biking trail along Puget Sound. Downtown Tacoma
is only two miles south of the hotel and
the spectacular Point Defiance Park and Zoo -- with
its incredible 5-mile drive -- are at the end of the
Parkway. A number of great eateries are also
scattered along Ruston from the sublime seafood of
the Lobster Shop, to the boisterous clamor of
Katie Downs (terrific pizza) and the Ram Alehouse.
All include an unbelievable view of Puget Sound at no
extra charge!
For those looking for a more urban
experience, we partner with two gorgeous hotels
in downtown Tacoma and several of the finest hotels in
America, in down- town Seattle.
Our Tacoma partners include a location of
one of the largest hotel chains in the world. Located
across from the new Tacoma-Pierce County Convention Center,
this beautiful facility shares a block with one of
the best seafood houses in the state (the Pacific Grill) and
has a luxurious, full service spa on-site. It's just the
kind of pampering you or your non-golfing spouse will
love. In addition, you'll be in the heart of
Tacoma's museum district, where you'll find the fabulous new Museum of Glass (often with
live glass blowing demonstrations on-going), Tacoma Art
Museum, and the Washington State History Museum -- plus
the rapidly growing University of Washington at Tacoma is
right next door. All these sites, plus incredible
views of the Commencement Bay waterfront and Mt. Rainier
are right out your window, or in easy walking
distance.
But,
if the hustle and bustle of downtown Seattle
is what you're seeking -- including world class
theatre, museums, restaurants, and nightlife
-- we partner with three of the finest hotels
in the area. Indeed, from old world
luxury to ultra-modern sophistication, we offer it all,
and at great rates. And while your drive to most of
best golf courses will be a bit longer from Seattle, there
is so much to do once you're back. And downtown
Seattle offers the option of taking a Washington State
Ferry from the nearby waterfront to courses on the Kitsap
Peninsula, which may not save a lot of time, but is a
great way to spend an hour ship-board rather than on the
freeway. Great golf and terrific digs in a world-class
city, just another affordable option we provide at
Northwest Golf Tours.
Finally, for the more budget minded, we
partner with several local hotels, all of which are
comfortable, well-maintained, and affordable, with prices
starting at $79 a night. Just let us know where you
want to stay, and we'll take it from there.
